Meet Narelle
Hi, I'm Narelle
For as long as I can remember, I've been drawn to supporting people who are doing it tough. Over the past 20 years, I've worked across disability and aged care, building a deep understanding of the systems people have to navigate, and what happens when they have to navigate them alone.
What I kept seeing. across both sectors, was the same thing. People were overwhelmed. Families were exhausted. And too often, people were missing out on support they were actually entitled to, simply because no one had taken the time to explain things clearly. That's what led me to start Navigating the Way.
What I Do
I work independently, which means my only focus is you, not a service provider, not a system, not a funding body. I support individuals, families, and carers who are trying to make sense of the NDIS, My Aged Care, end of life planning, and personal administration.
I help people understand what's available, what their rights are, and what their options look like, so they can make informed decisions with confidence.
My role isn't to take over. It's to walk alongside you, translate the complexity, and make sure your voice is heard every step of the way.
My Qualifications
-
Graduate Certificate in Ageing & Disability
-
Bachelor of Applied Science (Disability Studies)
-
International End-of-Life Doula (Peaceful Presence)
As a Developmental Educator and Death Doula, I'm equipped to support people across some of life's most significant transitions, from navigating disability and aged care systems, through to end of life planning and preparation.
How I Work
I believe people should leave every conversation feeling clearer, not more confused.
That means I take the time to understand your situation before anything else.
I use plain language. I don't rush. And I never assume you should already know how any of this works, because these systems are genuinely complex, and it's okay to need help making sense of them.
Support is available face-to-face in South Australia, or via phone and video for clients across Australia.
A Note on Independence
Navigating the Way is an independent service. I'm not affiliated with any provider, government agency, or funding body. That independence matters, because it means you can trust that the information and support I offer is genuinely in your interest.
If you'd like to find out whether I'm the right fit for your situation, I'd love to hear from you.
